I started today off by waking up at 2am to get my day started. I decided this the evening before and made sure to stick with the plan to make sure to achieve my morning goals. I actually woke up before the alarm, I meditated a bit until 2am. At the sound of the alarm I headed over to the gym to start a very early morning workout.
I arrived at the gym, put my belongings in the locker and started off with my planned arm day. I proceeded through a successful 30 minute weight training session. This consisted of mostly cable exercises for my biceps and triceps. At the end of the weight training my arms were numb, in a good way, the feeling of a successful workout.
I then turned my attention to the treadmill. It is important to get at least 30 minutes of constant cardio exercise for heart health. I set the pace to a nice jog, and added and incline of 4% to add more resistance. I chose not to listen to my own personal music during the gym session, but instead simply listened to the music the gym had to offer. Before I knew it, the cool down mode came on, and I did a 5 minute cool down, and completed an hour at the gym having burned 600 calories.
Having finished with a very successful workout, I felt energized and happy. It was a simple accomplishment but it set the pace for my whole day. I arrived to a Starbucks around 4:45 am to have a coffee and an egg sandwich and do some reading. That followed with running errands and work. It is amazing how your body creates endorphins just by working out, which in return set a positive outlook for the day.
I used that initial surge of happiness and feeling of accomplishment this morning to fuel my whole day. This helped with accomplishing other goals with work, and energizing me for the day ahead. The day ended on a happy note as well, celebrating the 2020 new year eve with my sister, counting down until January 1st 2020. It was a beautiful day that all started with setting a goal the day before, and not being lazy and completing the morning workout.
For everyone out there, you too can start your day off full of happiness, a clear mind, and energy. All it takes is following through with goal you set in the morning. I always recommend a quick cardio, yoga, or weight lifting session in the morning to give you that boost of energy. Always remember, "Don’t worry, be happy". Your life will be what you make of it.
